Please sign and share this petition worldwide to make a huge statement to the Labor MP Frank Doran that women can fulfill any position if they deem to be qualified. His remarks that a woman could not be considered for the position of fisheries minister. Most believe that his remark was outrageous and deeply offensive!

At a recent meeting, Labor MP Frank Doran was quoted as saying that the post of fisheries minister was not a job for a woman. You could hear a pin drop at the moment along with many gasps from those present. At a commons debate on fisheries, Mr. Doran could not recall ever having a female fisheries minister. Ms. Murray who is the Conservative MP for South East Cornwall lost her husband to a fishing accident several years ago and intervened to Mr. Doran's comments by stating "but we have had former female secretaries of state" although there was no dedicated fisheries minister, rebutted. He added, "I'm not sure it is a job for a woman, although the honorable lady might reach that."

MP Doran later apologized for his poor judgment of words. Secretary Nicky Morgan stated that his words "seriously undermine the party's work to raise aspiration among young women and girls". Women should feel free to reach out to fulfill any position they see fit without sexism being an issue. Help us in our efforts to declare equal rights for women in any position they see fit by signing and sharing this petition and sharing it everywhere possible.

UK Labor Party & Prime Minister Doran - Not only should you publicly apologize to woman everywhere regarding your statement, but laws need to be changed within the UK that states either men or women could be installed in any position if they are a qualified candidate. It should not be judged according to a person's sex or gender but abilities!
