Unchaining Dogs in Valencia County, NM

In Valencia County, NM it is still legal to keep your pets continually chained up. This kind of behavior, besides being offensive, is detrimental and only serves to alienate these animals further from the 'human' world they live in. People here chain their dogs in order to act as 'alarms' when people are near, and keep them mal-nourished so they will be agressive to strangers. It's just not right! Public awareness helps to make others aware of our situation. Please join me in helping to make the lives of our pets better in Valencia County. Thanks for your consideration. :-)
