STOP the KILLING of healthy dogs that are over their 7 days at the pound

Everyday throughout the UK dogs are being PUT DOWN because they have spent their 7 days at the local pound, no one has come forward for them or they have no rescue space!

What we need to start doing is preventing the healthy dogs being unnecessarily put down and take action. We need to change the way in which the councils and governments view this issue. We need to show them that these dogs are not just taking up space, and if proper education is provided to communities that promotes the ways of neutering/spaying and the prevention of mass puppy making then we can start to take control of this issue.

We need to use the councils and governments to open up their own dog pound/rescue centres so that it shows communities that action is being taken from the top. This way will also open jobs for the community, it will help educate children and adults about the way in which animals and pets should be treated.

ITS THE WAY FORWARD WE ALL NEED TO GET PEOPLE THINKING ABOUT THE WAY ANIMALS SHOULD BE TREATED.

Update #29 years ago
RSPCA no longer take in stray / lost & found dogs, there are many rescues and organisations that help daily with the pound situation. These organisations & rescues are run by everyday people like you & me with full time jobs, trying to help out at any spare moment they have & with no funds!! They rely on the general public to donate & call out to every rescue then can to provide a rescue space for these dogs or foster homes so that these dogs can be saved!
THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!!!!
