ANIMALS ARE NOT FOR SALE!!!

Pets life is not something that should be sold on the inernet, while 50 % of the cat and dog owners in Bulgaria dump their offspring on the streets.
Some of the young animals are even used as food for reptiles. When sold on the internet there is no control over new pet owner and no guarentee over the life of the animal!

While the problem with the stray animals in Bulgaria is getting bigger, breeders and puppy mills sell their pets in the internet, without paying taxes, without being responsible about the faith of the young or the mother.

On the other hand, the adopted animals are castrated and the adopter has to sign a contract which guarantees that the animal will be well taken-cared of. Breeders who only seek profit, don’t want nor care about the fate of the cat or dog they sell.

And while this is a profitable business for some, others are struggling every day to reduce the overpopulation of cats and dogs and for finding them a new home. Many of these successful business deals will end up like strays, and there is no control from the government. Neither the origin, nor the future of the pets is of concern to anybody in the “business with lives”.

The study of Gallup International, made for the animal welfare organization Animal Rescue Sofia shows that 50 % of the dog and cat owners dump their offspring on the street.

Another study shows that some of the kittens sold at low prices in stores are used as food for reptiles. Recent case shocked the public: customer asked for two kittens that look the same to make himself boots. Of course - there were many exclamations but nothing really happened.
Pets are not for sale! They should not be freely sold in pet - shops, and what about on the internet. It is time for everyone to take responsibility for one of the most pressing problems in Bulgaria - it is time to put an end to the bloody trade of animals. STOP THE SALE OF DOGS AND CATS ON THE INTERNET!
