Pledge to Advocate Against Cyberbullying

  • by: Sam Wright

Bullying has become more dangerous than ever. With new technologies, it has become easier to anonymously harass your peers, and even complete strangers. Cyberbullying [the act of harassing someone using the internet and/or social media] can be one of the most dangerous forms of bullying in this day and age. Bullies can become anonymous online; modern technology is being used the hide the abuser's face, but not their words.

Signing this petition means taking a stand against Cyberbullying. Not only will you respect your peers online, but you will advocate for the protection of all online users, and stop cyberbullies in their tracks. There are many different ways to stop Cyberbullying, which include

- Reporting the User

- Tell an adult or mentor

- Help the person being bullied

- Avoid using your real identity on the internet, and never share your password with anyone, or any information with someone that makes you feel uncomfortable

- Don't believe what people tell you on the internet. It's insanely easy to lie to anyone

- DON'T BE A CYBERBULLY YOURSELF. Simple comments that seem like nothing to you can affect others. Think about what your typing before you hit the send button!

Together, we can take a stand on Cyberbullying, and end it once and for all.
