Get Rocky home and to a vet!!!

I lost a sick dog at a high school in Chester Basin, Nova Scotia June 30th. I just want him back...no questions asked. It is possible he ended up at a privately owned Halifax shelter and adopted out as “Horatio” some time in July of 2014.   Rocky is sick and needs to be on medication.  He has a tick disease, anaplasmosis. Anaplasmosis can lead to a faulty immune system that will cause other infections which leads to leameness and death.  A low white blood cell count will prevent him from fighting the infection off.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaplasma_phagocytophilum  The shelter doesn’t test for tick disease, so they may have adopted out a sick dog.  It was an honest mistake.  The dogpound oowner got a protection order against me because she thought this honest mistake would make her look bad.  I just want my baby back.  The protection order wouldn't evenallow me to say his name, Rocky.  He also goes by Bammy...

I was on a trip to a Cape Breton Search and Rescue event when he got sick in the car.  He was sick, showing signs of the tick disease and I decided to bring him with me so I could keep an eye on him.  I originally lost him on Highway 103, at exit 8, and went across the street to the Chester Police to report it. They called Brian at Oceanmark K9 Resort to arrange for him to go there...but I don't know the area and he was frantic in the car, so we ended up at the high school a block away...where he slipped his collar and bolted. My family and I miss him terribly...he still likes to play and is used in search and rescue. Please help by signing and sharing this petition as much as possible (with all social medias)? Thanks, Rocky and I appreciate it.

Dear Sir and Madam:

The Halifax shelter holds animals for 72 hours before sending them to Homeward Bound for adoption.  During this 72 hour period was a tropical storm that knocked out Nova Scotia's power and phones.  Plus, with a time this short, the shelter didn't realize the dog was sick.  Seventy-two hours is way too short a time period; if he was even there that long.  I was looking for my dog this entire time.

Rocky and I and everyone who signed this petition thank you for your consideration in this matter.
