Have you met a Wolf?

I thought so because I have. One night again I could not sleep because of my back; so I thought I empty the catlitter when the cats were sleeping. I went out to my porch and.... huuuu....what I saw on my yard. A very big totally grey big wolf; it was so high that I could not undestand immediately what I saw. We both the wolf and me we freezed for a couple of seconds and watched eachother and both of us run away to the opposite directions.

I thought why it came; it was a lonely wolf even wolves are herd animals? The Wolf was after the smell of cats of course. The Wolf is an awsome animal and is not threatened adult people, I would be willing to meet it again. Finland is so narrow country that you cannot see it often.

I had 12 cats when I moved from Helsinki to Lapland. They were inside cats and I could not release them in Lapland.

The amount of Wolves is only about 100 exept the ones which come from Russia without passport.

The wolf is in all Finland even only few. In Lapland there is time when hunting is allowed, but otherwise it is protected and not allowed to shoot or anyway harm.

Sometimes the wolf are danger for the little school children in the eastern Finland and then there is abnormity permission to shoot them.

In good circumstances the wolf can increase 30%. The Wolf is protected in whole EU. BUT.... EU is not federation! Every country has their own regulations and in my opinion EU will be doomed because of the impossibility. Even UK think to get rid of it. (FX: Switzerland and Norway are not in EU at all.)

There will be awful sanctions if someone shoot the wolf on a wrong time or in the nest where the pups are, and that is right; we can handle more Wolfs even I got affraid the wolf on my yard, but now I would meet it again.
