Tell Live Nation (BTLive) & London Olympics (LOCOG) to stop dumping food and water

Live Nation Entertainments, based in California, USA, prohibits the taking in of home-packed or shop bought food and water into all of its venues. This is obviously to protect the fast-food outlets (many selling what people would opine was over-expensive, unhealthy, fast / junk food), and to maximise profits, within its entertainment compounds.

Specifically at the London Olympics (and likely at the Paralympics) Live Nation displayed draconian entry conditions on numerous very large boards for the so-called 'free' BTLive events.

And apparently the same draconian conditions pertain to all Live Nation events worldwide not just for the London Olympics.

At the entrances the public are ORDERED to dump ALL food and drink - even potable water - into bins or have them confiscated. Then everyone is body searched and their bags rifled through by untrained security staff. ALL food and drink (and other liquids) found are then binned too. Even babies' formulae and drink (e.g. breast milk) can be confiscated. And anyone with a medical allergy is even prohibited from bringing in special dietary food and drinks.

AND TO EVEN REMOVE PEOPLE'S WATER IS A SERIOUS TRANSGRESSION OF A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT.

THIS IS A HORRENDOUS WASTE OF FOOD AND WATER WHEN THE PLANET IS GOING THROUGH SEVERE DROUGHTS AND FAMINES SUCH AS IN AFRICA AND THE USA.

Please relax &/or remove the draconian admission conditions of 'no food' and 'no water' being allowed into Live Nation events not only at the London Olympics (BTLive) but in general worldwide.

* It is unacceptable to DEMAND that the public bin their own home-made or shop bought food and drink before entry into the entertainment compounds.

* The right of access to potable drinking water is a basic human right. It is unacceptable to remove this right.

* It is unacceptable to DEMAND the binning of good food in order to protect the profits of fast food sellers within the compunds. This is especially when there are so many famines and starving people on the Planet.

* It is unacceptable to rifle though people's belongings in an abusive fashion looking for smuggled in food as reported on various social networking media.

* It is unacceptable that people with medical allergies and those who need specialist foods are prohibted from bringing those foods into the compounds.

* It is unacceptable that nursing mothers should have to drink their own breast milk before being allowed to bring this into the compounds, albeit in a small bottle only.

* It is unaccepable to display such draconian entry conditions and spoil people's enjoyment of what has become a trouble-free Olympics. At the BTLive events the abuse by the security staff and the draconian conditions of entry are counter to the good humoured atmosphere that the Olympics have generated in London.
