Demand Educational Establishments To Provide More Lessons On Bullying, Effects And Its Prevention

  • by: Kirsty Allan

Nobody truly understands the effects of bullying until it happens to them. Nobody really understands what bullying is until it happens to them. And what’s even worse is the fact that nothing is being done to help people understand both of these topics.
Suicide is the third leading cause of death; it results in around 4,400 deaths per year. Bullied victims are 7-9% more likely to consider suicide and studies in Britain have found half of the suicides among youths are related to bullying.
This needs to be stopped, and the first step in stopping this is to get educational establishments to start more lessons on bullying and to delve deeper into its facts and results, so that more people understand and know its effects on seemingly ordinary people.
Signing this petition will make as many people as possible aware of bullying and its effects, however, the consequences of it being taught in schools and other educational establishments in particular will be the start of putting an end to bullying. With every signature we get, we are one step closer to combatting bullying.
