MLB Divisions realigned to reflect similar salary levels within the Division

The descepency between high total salary MLB teams and low high salary teams results in less competition, less diversity to the fan base and growth in the baseball market.

I believe that the long term competivness of Major League Baseball is best served when all teams compete on equal terms and all have an equal potential for success.


I petition Major League Baseball to realign the divisions in each league using Total Player Salary(TPS) to create divisions with teams of similar TPS.


Doing so, reduces the inherent advantage of Large Market Teams while increasing the probability of championship appearance of small market teams.


Playoff and championship series between Large Market and Small Market Teams are short enough duration to further erode the Large Market inherent advantage.
