Please sign and share this petition worldwide in an effort to get Italy to find and prosecute whoever in organized crime seems to be responsible for the killing and hanging of two dogs in retaliation of someone else in the Mafia! Not only should the search continue with arrest and punishment for the cruel demise of these dogs, Italy needs to get law enforcement highly involved in cracking down on organized crime to protect their citizens and hope you will help us in these efforts through this petition.
Recently, it was reported that a Pino Maniaci, head of Telejato, a Sicilian TV station, who is an avid animal lover lost his two beloved pet dogs through violence. His Belgian shepherd and English setter were both found dead and hung from a metal post in a yard close to where Mr. Maniaci worked. His job as a journalist named him fearless in the investigation of the Sicilian mafia and a string of drug use. He states that “The city is awash with cocaine, and we have been going very hard on that. “It has taken over from ‘grass’ [marijuana], which had a much lower price, and as a result we’ve seen a rise in thefts in the area, even from old people. “Cosa Nostra is the group that is always behind things like that."
Cosa Nostra is an organized crime group that needs to be under scrutiny by law enforcement and are very likely responsible for the demise of Mr. Maniaci's dogs as a threat since they know how much he loved his animals. He is not the only journalist at risk. Italy needs to crack down on organized crime along with their law enforcement while also resolving the deaths of these two dogs. Italian Government Law Enforcement - You need to crack down intently and severely on organized crime so that you can protect your citizens and community. It is crazy that the mafia still exists to terrorize people like journalist Maniaci and the loss of his dogs. Begin by gaining justice for these two innocent animals that gave their lives in the name of crime! Find who did this and ensure they are severely punished for these acts of animal abuse and cruelty. At the same time, you can investigate these abusers to find out their crimes far exceed those of animal cruelty but organized crime! Such an investigation could and should lead into many others, probably within the Cosa Nostra group that are guilty for terrorizing your citizens, communities and any other lives throughout Italy. Stop them and put them away for life so that your people (and their pets) can feel safe and secure without fearing the mafia!! Please do so until you catch them all!!
