Connecticut, Raise Your Game on Renewable Energy

Connecticut is the perfect nexus of wind and sun. According to one recent report, Connecticut could be generating as much as seveny-five percent of the power it needs from renewable energy sources, i.e. wind and sun. So why aren't we seeing more solar panels on the state's roof tops? Renewable energy is badly needed everywhere to combat the disastrous effects of climate change. But nowhere in the United States is it more badly needed than in the northeast coast states. Science tells us that those regions will take the worst beating in the coming age of climate change. Please join me in asking Connecticut's state legislature to pass aggressive subsidies for renewable energy use and development.

To Connecticut State Legislators:

You have a historical and unprecedented opportunity to make a difference. A recent report shows that Connecticut could be generating up to seventy-five percent of its energy from wind and solar power. You need to invest in this technology, because it is an investment in the future. A future without catastrophic loss of homes and property due to flooding and rising sea levels. Please pass aggressive subsidies for renewable energy use and development.
