Demand a Change In School Name

Francis Scott Keys, a known owner of slaves and writer of the national anthem, should not have his name on any institution of learning. We are at a place and time to which we must be vigilant of what influences and energies surround our impressionable school age children. The cruelty of chattel slavery must never be forgotten. However, the name of a slave owner can no long occupy the name of a school that is multi-ethnic and celebrates its multi-ethicist. Please help as we carry on the fight to remove the name Francis Scott Keys as the name of a great institution of learning to our school age youth. Thank you
