Urge New Mexico State fairgrounds to stop Ringling Brothers Circus performance

The Ringling Brothers Circus has a long history of cruel housing and training methods for its elephants. Methods that have been documented include beating elephants with bullhooks and shocking them with electric prods. The Animal Welfare Institute states that Ringling Brothers elephants are "virtually immobilized in chains for the majority of their lives." In fact, the Ringling Brothers Circus was recently ordered to pay $270,000 for dozens of animal welfare violations. Despite this fact, the circus is continuing to perform in cities around the country.

Currently the Circus is proposing to perform at the New Mexico State Fairgrounds. Please ask the New Mexico State fairgrounds general manager to not allow the Ringling Brothers Circus to perform.
