SAVE WPLJ FROM BECOMING K-LOVE

On February 13,,2019, Cumulus Media entered into an agreement to sell six of their radio stations to Rocklin, California based Educational Media Foundation, a Contemporary Christian Music satellite radio programming conglomerate that specializes in distributing CCM channels (K-LOVE and AIR 1) to nearly 500 radio stations in the USA. One of those stations that was involved in the purchased is 95.5 WPLJ in New York City. WPLJ has been a legendary radio station for nearly 5 decades and has broadcast to thousands if not millions of New York radio listeners with great music and popular air talent including Jim Kerr, Carol Miller, Pat St. John, Scott Shannon, and Todd Pettengill. However, we are concern that if K-LOVE takes over 95.5 FM, we will no longer get to listen to a local radio station with local personalities, no to mention local news, weather, or traffic reports, or no opportunities for internships for local college students. We want Cumulus Media and Educational Media Foundation to seriously entertain the though of calling off the sale of these six radio stations
