Save Animals Asia's Vietnam Sanctuary!

Animals Asia's Vietnam Bear Rescue Center is at risk for eviction from the Tam Dao National Park at the hands of the park director, Do Dinh Tien.

Tien has been trying to get this land since April of 2011. It is believed that he may want to give it to the Truong Giang Tam Dao Joint Stock Company, which his daughter has 10% of the shares of and helped found. The company put in an application to make a "eco-tourism" park and to build hotels there.

If closed, 104 bears, rescued from bear bile farms and smugglers, would have no place to go. 77 people would be without a job, and $2 million dollars would be lost.

The Ministry of Defense has issued an eviction as of now, but the final decision is up to the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Nguyen Tan Dung. Please tell him to save Animals Asia's Vietnam Bear Rescue Center!

Dear Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung,

Recently, the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense issued an eviction of Animals Asia's Vietnam Bear Rescue Center from the Tam Dao National Park after a campaign by the park's director, Do Dinh Tien.

The rescue center currently has 104 rescued bears -- all from bear bile farms and smugglers -- who would lose their homes if the center was evicted. 77 people would become unemployed, and $2 million dollars would be lost.

It is believed that the motivation for this eviction is for the park's director to give the land to Truong Giang Tam Dao Joint Stock Company for the construction of hotels and an "eco-tourism" park.

Please save the rescue center. Thank you for your time.
