DAVE NEEDS GF STRONG REHABILITATION

My fiance, Dave, was hit by a car, as result a severe head injury. He has improved amazingly in the last 4 months and he is ready for rehab. He was transfer to a nursing home and this is not a good fit. He needs the drive and push that this amazing facility will do for him.

Bureaucracy it's a big factor,I just ask for the chance of a new assessment because he being asking me for a chance to heal and be self sufficient again. I know this place is the perfect fit but it's so hard to communicate and keep things moving that I hope having the public involve will help.

With all the respect,

Dave, my fiance, was hit by a car 118 days ago. Life change. There were no hope from the doctors, but he is a miracle and has improve amazingly. I'm writing this letter of his behalf, I'm his fiance, Tamara. I'm an immigrant. I understand clearly thouugh times. We been working so hard and the love that I put in this situation has been a crucial part for Dave's recovery. He stayed at Vancouver General Hospital for 114 days, the personal, specially nurses, PT and OT, amazing people. Really hard to communicate with the doctors but still ok. Dave has couple assessments and he wasn;t ready yet for rehab, but he has improve so much in the last month and hasn't get a new one. I do understand how things work, but I 100% confident that Dave is ready for the next step, that is GF STRONG. He was transfer to a care facility, where sadly there is less fortunate people and not the right environment for a Rehabilitation. Sadly I do not have the resources to place Dave in a private Rehab center and we rely on external decisions. I'm just asking for a chance that will give Dave the opportunity to recover, I'm doing this petition cause bureaucracy it's killing time that could be used to his progress. I just ask for an opportunity , because Dave needs this service and I'm extremely confident that if he gets accepted at GF his life will be better and he will  be able to eventually come home and have a happy life with me.

Thank you,

Tamara Montes
