Animal cruelty charges in cat controversy in Henrico

Last week a local news station contracted a company known as "Critter Control" to remove feral cats living on the property outside the station. They never intended for the cats to be harmed, but unfortunatley the area where the cats were living was bulldozed, killing 3 cats, and injuring many others. The companies operator, Keith Copi, is being held responsible with three counts of misdemeanor animal abuse which carry up to $7,500 in fines and three years in prison upon conviction. Personally I don't believe this charge is enough to remind the man the sadness and horror he has made my community face. I would like to see this man put behind bars for much longer.
