Help us save the Crawley Farm Road Trails and Forest!

The forest and trails north of Wheeler Boulevard,  that for decades, have provided pleasure to the children, youth and adults of Moncton, has been rezoned for development. Laws protect the wetlands (marshes) and a margin along the sides of the Creek, but the vast majority of the forested area is now zoned for construction.  This includes areas where trails are enjoyed by walkers, hikers, runners, bikers, cross-country skiiers, snow-shoers, bird-watchers, naturalists, and mushroom harvesters. Along with the pleasure that the forest and trails provide to us, forests absorb carbon dioxide from the air.  This is vital because it is too much carbon dioxide that is causing climate change. We need to preserve trees in our goal to reduce the effects of climate change, so we need more trees; not less!    Please sign this petition, if you want the forest and trails north of Wheeler Blvd. saved, between Crawley Farm Road, running back to MacLaughlin Road and over to the power lines that run perpendicular to Wheeler Blvd. (between Crawley Farm Road area and Mapleton Road).  Thank-you for adding your "voice" to ours, in our campaign to save the forest and trails.
