STOP GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTHCARE: OBAMA HEALTHCARE

According to the 2006 study by the Dept. of Health and Human Services 5% of the US population accounts for nearly 50% of health care spending in America. Most of those people are 65 years of age and older with serious, chronic illnesses. Obama will not make the cost-cutting targets by cutting care to the healthy young Americans, they already spend less than $670.00 per year. In his speach, Obama said "incentives" would be given to doctors to "avoid unnecessary hospital stays, treatments, and tests that would drive up costs." In an ABC news special June 24th, Obama implied medical treatment may be wasted on elderly people with grave illnesses, citing his grandmother as an example. His grandmother, who was dying of cancer- needed a hip replacement. "The question was, does she get hip replacement surgery, even though she was fragile enough they were not sure how long she would last?" asked the president. "Maybe you're better off not having the surgery, but taking the painkiller." Obama concluded.
In Europe, governments already ration health care, just as Obama plans to do here. The older and sicker people are, the less care they get. bureaucrats determine a patient's eligibility for health care using the QALY system (quality-adjusted life years). They divide the cost of treatment by the number of "quality" years the patient is expected to live. Older, sicker patients are expected to live fewer "quality" years, so why bother treating them at all? On this basis, British elders are routinely denied treatment for cancer, heart disease and other deadly illnesses.
Please consider your loved ones; consider yourselves- do you want to see your family denied the health care needed? We never know what will prolong life and for who it will be prolonged. As humans we should care about and respect all lives- not leave them to the bureaucrats.

Politics have no business in how health care is delivered. Washington can't manager Medicare and have nearly destroyed it, so what makes people think that the government has even the slightess idea how to run something as complex as healthcare. The group of people that should be running the nation's healtcare plans should be the people delivering healthcare. Those individuals have seen what works and what does not. The government experts live in a fantasy world and are not interested in the humanatarian aspect of true healtcare.Americans need to take back America.

We need to stop the rising cost of healthcare and insurance premiums, however the Obama plan is still not clear in its presentation and leaves way to many unanswered questions and contridictions. We need minimal government instrusion since there is not a good track record for government run programs. Don't continue to ramrode this through and drive our country into deeper division.

america was just fine,untill obama got in.i have been raised around black people all my life,i'm from s.c.,obama ,his cjar;s and all congress wants to change america,we want america BACK,when people voted for him,they didn't even think,he was going for this stupid kind of change.my husband had surgey the other day,since obama cut medicare back.well my husband has to pat the hospital 800.00 he has not got a bill for blood work,or from his serigon yet.he makes 5--- and i make 422.00 a mo. we do well to by 50.00 a mo just to eat,once a day.it that the kind of change we want.i also heard on tv.obama wants to get rid of us whites,sounds like it?we cannot live this way.i'm supposed to have a managram this wk,.i'm gonna have to cancel it.he said he was gonna bring our boys home from war,he's sent more,now put out a death book out on the vets.my husband was also a vet.everyone of them should catch a plane and come home.obama,is destoring our nation right under our nose in peach him.do something to get him out of the white house!everyone who voted for him ought to hang there head in shame

It has been shown that population health services (those focused on the whole) are substantially more expensive than ever thought. This appears to be true for TennCare and Massachusetts Health care. How will this reduce costs? Furthermore, what Liberty are we giving up when we allow Government to decide who should receive a specific procedure and who should not?

healthcare rationing has already begun for those of us that are disabled and on Medicaid. There is no doubt in my mind that those that are seniors and on Medicare are seeing the samething happening as we speek. and there are children in this mess as well that are healthy as well as disabled that are seeing less or no care due to the cuts.
