Non violent civil disobedience has been a tool to bring attention to issues which have often been neglected or worse by the governments of the day. In light of the change of policy that this action has helped precipitate I believe it seems reasonable to drop the charges against those concerned. Thanks to those who take a stand on issues as important as this and put themselves at risk for the benefit of our future.

Water is a most precious resource which must be protected at all cost from further pollution and commodification. As my MPP I ask you to reconsider the charges against the responsible citizens involved in the Site 41 protest. Menno Meijer

These courageous individuals were taking a stand to protect a precious resource. Would that we all had the same courage and determination. One day we will be thanking individuals such as these.

We have the right of Protest against anything that affects us, directly or indirectly. Why not protect water sources? Commercialism has polluted and ruined so much of our natural sources..polluting the very people our government is suppose to protect. Leave the protestors alone! They are doing the right thing, the moral and ethical thing everyone needs to be doing.

remember that you are working for the people, not for your corporate sponsors. If the people don't want a dumpsite, it is up to the people to decide where to put their garbage. It is not up to the government to make decisions "in the public interest" against the public's wishes.

I am a constituent in your riding. I am ashamed to live in a province where the most pure water on the planet is put at risk, and that those who peacefully work to save our water are charged under our flawed laws. You have the option to do the right thing, and drop the charges. There can be no benefit to the charges remaining. However, there are costs to the individuals, to our faith in our government, and to the legislative system in court costs borne by the taxpayer unnecessarily should these charges not be dropped. I urge you to reconsider.

De plus en plus nous serons amenés à supporter de tels groupes de gens courageux. Le silence n'est pas de mise. Parlons et bougeons! We'll be more and more in front of that kind of decision: support or not those brave and courageaous citizens from everywhere in the world. Please let's talk, and move! Silence is not an option.
