Portland don't support animal cruelty

‘A walk on the Wild Side’ is a highly suspicious organization, which work under the cover of a non-profit label.

At the yearly Portland Rose Parade Festival is a wild animal show. Called ‘ A Walk on the Wild Side' Wild cats as well as baby kangaroos and other exotic animals are trapped in small cages while screaming people can take their picture. Surrounded by loud music from a live music stage and dozens of fair attractions. When I saw it the first time I was shocked. The animals appeared to me devastated, scared and paranoid walking from left to right in their cells. When I tried to tape this, the security escorted me out. Their statement was, these are rescued animals and we care about them. Recently I saw the first announcement for the Rose Parade. I researched online about the organization and the information’s I found are more confusing than helpful. 'A walk on the wild side' calls themselves sometimes a animal sanctuary (other times the refuse to be one) sometimes it's a rescue organization for traumatizes animals, or a educational wild life program. You could book a tour, a presentation for your birthday or a party. Of cause for a charge fee what makes it more like a private zoo than a non-profit organization. Multiple violations went public. Unfortunately violation at record keeping was more mention than that birds, primates and 'exotic pocket pets' have to live in there own feces. Multiple times they've got the order to build bigger, more and saver animal areas. The most unbelievable fact they announce themselves via twitter. Apparently in the first days of 2016 a fire destroys a part of their 'farm'. The organization claimed that the media information that all animals are uninjured is inaccurate and announced a loss of 41 animals. They asked for donations and opened a go fund me account. This is a obvious fact that there is something wrong. If the animals were hidden in unsafe areas or they lie for donations, a organization with so many violations and the possible (and very convenient) loss from a overcrowded animal contingent, shouldn't appear at a city parade and get the gratification from the city Portland as a nice helpful animal rescue.

as long there are so many suspicion this company should represent Portland!

Open our eye! This is not for the good for the animals and to promote animal cruelty behind a non-profit is even worse!
