Let's put a STOP to SPEEDING on our roads

Recently, we lost one of our beloved swans who lived in the reservoir off of Congress Street near the highway. The person who hit him must have been traveling at a high rate of speed and not paying attention because the swan was enormous. It looked as if the swan had been hit so hard and fast that he was either dragged for 20-30 feet or flipped up high into the air.

We want to stop these speeders by having more police presence in the area by radar and/or submitting to the state a request to have the speed limit lowered on Congress Street.

We all know how difficult it is to pull out of Franklin Street, King Phillips Path, Plantation Drive and Chandler Street (just to name a few) onto Congress Street because of people driving at a high rate of speed. We need this petition to try to put a stop to this before another animal or person gets killled.
