Make a Difference to the Bulls

For several years, there have been celebrations in Spain and in other areas taken place where bulls are abused. In celebrations like San Fermin, the bulls are running down the street, and then into an arena where there is the bullfighting. A man kills a bull with a sword in the end.
This is animal cruelty. I understand that this is an aspect in their culture, but the man is killing an animal in front of a stadium. I am a vegetarian, and I do not appreciate hearing these news. I am an advocate to stop harming animals in a cruel and in an abusive way. This is inhumane.
There are other holidays where the bull is the symbolic figure and then they kill the bull. If the bull is symbolic, why are the people killing the figure? The bulls, in some cases, get hit with items the people throw at them. Everything about this event is animal abuse. It is not right.
