Demand laws be enacted to give employees the right to refuse mandatory vaccines.

Hospital employers are using loopholes in the laws to force mandatory vaccines in the workplace such as the influenza vaccine as a matter of policy. Nurses who decline are being fired even if they have strong religous beliefs exempting them. Idaho already has laws in place allowing students the freedom to refuse vaccination for medical, religous or philosophical reasons. Employers are bypassing these laws since they only apply to students and Idaho is an "at will" employment state. Things are changing and its no longer just schools requiring immunizations so these laws need to be updated to include employees. No one should be fired for refusing a medical treatment. This will soon be applicable to school teachers, food service workers and all professions. Our rights to life and liberty are being threatened. Every "patient" is protected under the "Patient Bill of Rights" The right to autonomy and right to make decisions regaurding health and medical treatments. Employers are getting around this by stating our role is not that of a "patient". Arent we all patients somewhere? The "Patient bill of rights" was enacted to make sure no one would be forced to undergo ANY medical treatment without informed consent. A patient was considered to be anyone receiving medical treatments, but employers are ignoring this basic human right when they mandate any person accept any medical treatment as a condition of employment! We need to take a stand before we have no rights over our own health. Who owns rights to govern our bodies? The government? Our employer? Or us? The answer may seem obvious but this very liberty is at stake! Whats next? Forced pysch meds, microchips etc. This isnt about being anti vaccine, its about being pro choice! Demand that laws are made that protect people from this appalling infringement of basic human rights!
