Elizabeth Warren should run for president

It's not often that a leader emerges at the exact moment when her ideas are needed most -- but that's what's happening now. This is Elizabeth Warren's moment, and that's why we're calling on her to run for president in 2016.

We are Americans of all stripes who want a leader who's fighting on our side for a change.

We are progressives ready to support someone who isn't afraid to take on powerful interests like the Wall Street banks that crashed our economy.

We are students worried about how we'll make it after racking up thousands in debt to get an education, moms struggling to raise families while costs go up each day but paychecks don't keep pace, and Americans who feel the system is rigged against us.

We aren't wealthy or well-connected. We don't have lobbyists. What we are is a movement of individuals who believe that folks like us should have a greater say in the direction of our country.

That's why we're calling on Elizabeth Warren to run for president in 2016.

Warren has inspired a movement, but she's always been a reluctant politician who cares more about people than political power. It took a draft effort to convince her to run for Senate, and we believe we can convince her to run for president. But to do that, we need to show her she has support all across the country, from Oklahoma to Massachusetts, from Florida to Nevada.

We know that Warren can win, but it's up to all of us to make it happen.
