Support the Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Act!

Sign this petition to support the Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Act, H.R. 2972. This bill's purpose is to authorize grants for training and support services for Alzheimer’s patients and their families. (Waters, 2017) Caregivers are often times stressed, depressed, lonely, constantly busy with work, and/or caring for their family along with the care receiver. It's important that they find time for self-care. The Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Act will provide services for the care receiver while offering support and training for the caregiver. This proposed act reflects the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics values of dignity and worth of the person and service because it will enable support groups and other services to be offered to promote the quality of life for caregivers, while providing treatment to the clients with Alzheimer's.

By signing, you will help bring awareness to the well-being of caregivers and care receivers with Alzheimer's disease. Please sign the petition!
