Stop Foie Gras Plant From Opening Near Wildlife Habitat

A United Kingdom registered company has planned to open an industrial-scale foie gras production plant near Poyang Lake, an important wildlife habitat and water source in China. It is well known that foie gras production is a cruel practice that involves force feeding ducks and geese through a long pipe shoved down their throats. The United Kingdom, the U.S. state of California and many European countries have banned foie gras production for this reason.

Operating a foie gras plant near Poyang Lake would jeopardize the lake's water quality and wildlife. It would also encourage other companies to outsource cruel production methods to China.

Foie gras is an unhealthy food and its cruel production methods are well documented. There is no reason for people to eat this "luxury item," especially not at the expense of another country's wildlife habitats and water sources. Please sign the petition to stop plans for the proposed foie gras production plant near China's Poyang Lake.
