Save The Orcas & Support H.R. 773, In Support Of Their Protection

As most people are aware, the Orca is now considered one of the most endangered species of our seas.  June is proposed to be National Orca Protection Month and we as animal advocates want to support this bill and the protection of these amazing creatures.  Read more on Bill H. Orcas are often known as the “wolves of the sea” since they are so amazing and majestic.  This is one creature that is very family oriented and tight knit.  They are highly intelligent and work together when hunting.  One of their biggest threats to these creatures of the seas is human activity. Aside from exploiting these animals through confinement, there is an issue of food shortage, contaminants in our seas like oil spills, entanglement with fishing gear, noise pollution in the seas, and the dangers of whaling vessels and illegal whale hunting that puts the Orcas in danger.

A congressman has proposed and introduced the resolution bill H. R. 773 to draw attention to the public in the protection of the Orcas while declaring National Orca Protection Month in June.  The effort in this petition is to encourage the House of Representatives and Congress members to fully support H.
