Help save Juno, a shelter dog wrongfully accused of being aggressive. Stop euthanization!

  • recipient: Stockton, CA officials
On 9/08/18, Stockton's Adopt A Bull program brought some dogs to the Lodi PetSmart to meet with people looking to adopt a dog and possibly give them forever homes. During this time, a small incident occurred. A woman who was walking past one of the dogs was swinging her purse back and forth. The dog thought she was playing and that her purse was a toy. And so naturally, the pup proceeded to try and get the "toy." In the process, the dog tore the lady's pants slightly.

The lady turned around and was yelling for her daughter to come, which the daughter Did Not See what had happened. The dog, whose name is Juno, is a larger breed, a Shepard mix female pup, going through the tall, thin, awkward stage that some pups go through.

Juno thought the lady was playing. She showed no aggresion, and was even wagging her tail. Several witnesses who witnessed the incident have come forward to proclaim Juno's innocence, in that she mistook the lady swinging her purse as playing.

Juno has since been caged and on bite hold since the incident, and will continue to be until late September. Then, she will be re-evaluated and she may possibly be wrongfully euthanized.

There is not much time to help Juno. Please help to save Juno the dog! She deserves to live and find a loving forever home.
