This is one of those Win-Win-Win-Win scenarios that come along in history so infrequently in political situations. 1. America's drone warriors need additional training in reading satellite data and following groups of enemy combatants. 2. African nations need assistance with defending endangered species from poachers. 3. America needs additional credibility with the nations in sub-Saharan Africa. 4. America needs additional credibility defending endangered species I propose a solution to address all of these issues.

Task American Drone Warriors to follow the herds of Elephants and Rhinoceroses and kill the poachers as they start to attack these critically endangered species.

This plan provides critical real world training to soldiers using America's newest weapon type. It defends the endangered animals, it raises America's credibility with those interested in defending these endangered species and with the countries that serve as the habitats for these species.

Win-Win-Win-Win

Update #19 years ago
After some objections to killing the poachers, I say that is subject to negotiation with the Host country, if you want to use the drones to paint the poachers with biodegradable pink paint or any other color that would stick out in the local environment. That would work too.
