There has been thousands of shootings and killings in the Philadelphia Urban Neighborhoods for decades now and the Public is calling out for help! PHILADELPHIA has over 80 percent of a homicide rate, at least 15, 000 have been shot! This includes men, women, and children. We even have cases we're crimes were committed against senior citizens. Coming into 2018 Philadelphia hadn't had any shootings for 5 days. (That's not including the break during the super bowl we were witnessed no killings or shootings. ) It can be done! 5 days is a serious mental break for alot of people who endure that violence every day. Some residents say they have become "Numb" to it. Seeing it haloen everyday. PHILADELPHIA is considered a place of "Brotherly Love" which Brother's? From all the blood on these streets, and all black and brown men, woman, and children. So many families suffering to this unnecessary gun violence and police shootings. Some barly have the income to give a proper burials. It has been said that, most families put together fund raisers to raise money for most funerals. Has it really come to this? These neighborhoods are going through poverty, hunger and gentrification all at the same time with limited resources. Something must take place to make these streets safer for the public, especially the tax payers! We are demanding that the Mayor does something to change the death rate where we live. We promise to do our part as a People, if they promise to do they're jobs! I'm concerned that this will never end if the People of Philadelphia, City and Government Officials don't make Peace. We have to take back our streets, and put a end to the self destruction. Along with the policy makers changing laws so those living in high Poverty strick neighborhoods can have a outlet other then drugs, guns, violence,death, and prison.
