Scope:
If you live in a well populated area with highways, you probably noticed more and more traffic lights being installed on entrances to highways. Have you thought why and what does this help? One word, "Traffic!"
Education:
DMV driving rule books, license tests and driving tests need to include or expand information regarding importance of leaving separation between vehicles. Data statistics show reduction in traffic due to more space between vehicles or injecting cars onto congested roadways, by separating or leaving 'merging space' between them. However, even those traffic lights do not help much, if the drivers, who are already on the highway, are not leaving 'merging space'.
Law:
When driving over 10mph on highways or freeways, leave 3-10 car lengths between vehicles. If not law, an application, which tracks driving speeds, during traffic and rewards drivers who are moving in heavy traffic conditions.
