Demand justice for an elephant that died from exhaustion carrying tourists in Vietnam

A 40-year-old elephant in Vietnam dropped dead from exhaustion carrying holiday makers in Vietnam this month.

Elephants are a popular tourist attraction in Vietnam.

However, the trade has attracted complaints of animal cruelty as the tamed elephant population shrinks due to exhaustion - another working elephant died in the Dak Kak province of Vietnam in January.

Authorities report that there are only 50 tamed elephants still alive in the province.

We ask that the government retires the remaining elephants so they can live out the rest of their lives peacefully.
