Demand an end to the BBC tv license

This is an outdated system which was created in June 1946.

Obviously by then standards technology wasn't very advanced and there was a need to charge people for this service.
However by today's standards with the encryption services such as Netflix, There really is no need to have a mandatory charge just for owning a television/computer/smartphone.

The majority of the UK use a television provider such as Virgin or SKY so why cant BBC be included with one of these services instead? As for myself I don't even watch television or listen to the radio and if I was to happen to catch a programme It certainly wouldn't be anything the BBC "provided"

Really does make you think how extortionate this "service" has become.

So if we want change we have to demand it, There is no harm in them making people subscribe to the BBC if you generally do watch their programmes.
The total income from licence fees was £3.735 billion in 2014–15[5] of which £613.4 million or 16.4% was provided by the Government through concessions for those over the age of 75. Thus, the licence fee made up the bulk of the BBC's total income of £4.805 billion in 2014–2015 - BBC Full Financial Statements 2014/15" (PDF). BBC. Retrieved 14 July 2015.
