First introduced in the 2013 Tomb Raider videogame as Lara Croft's best friend from Uni, Sam Nishimura won the heart of thousands of fans along the years.
Sam had been established as the 'most important person' in Lara's life from the very beginning of the archaeologist's origin in TR2013 and the comics following the game.
However, Sam was written out of the comics and Lara's life in way that felt very much out of character after what the two friends have been through.
Many fans are not happy with the way Sam had been treated in the comics, and how she had been removed from Rise Of The Tomb Raider - and now Shadow Of The Tomb Raider.
We believe that what made Lara Croft so appealing in the reboot was her humanity and her strong friendship with Sam, something that shouldn't be taken away from the storyline.
