Support of the Sutton Racing Lions Track and the borough race track code changes.

The Mat-Su Borough has shut down the Andersens property. The Sutton Racing Lions or any other groups are no longer able to host events at this facility due to expensive cost drivers in getting a permit and the borough considering small scale racing a commerical business even if your a non profit, volunteer based club. This petition is saying you support The operations at Andersens property in Sutton. This petition also is in support of the new race track regulations that seperate small and large scale racing throughout the borough. Allowing small scale racing to operate without a lengthy and expensive permitting process. Taking out private property rights verbiage that strips property rights to land owners if they have a permit. And makes the boroughs codes more applicable to the real race scenes in the Mat su borough.

The Mat Su Borough has created such tough laws on race tracks that the costs are killing the industry. The intent of the code is to allow race tracks to operate while minimizing public impact. However they have wrote in laws that take away private property rights year round if you ever host an event, they have wrote in laws making it so expensive that nobody can afford to get the permit. Especially non profit clubs and or groups trying to start a new community event. Essentially no property owners want to lose there rights and no clubs can afford the permit. Sign this petition that you support changing the borough code to allow motocross tracks to operate, allowing personal private property rights to still be in effect during off event times and to make a means of varifying public impact without expensive engineered site plans/survays.
