Help get gender-inclusive title Mx added to online forms

I am nonbinary - neither male nor female - and it is impossible for me to honestly sign petitions on this website and many others. I am not a Mr or Ms/Miss/Mrs, and I don't have a doctorate so I can't choose Dr. I would like to leave the title field blank, but the form won't submit without a title.

There is a generic title that includes people who don't specify gender: Mx (pronounced Mix). Since it's not available on this petition, anyone who can't find an appropriate title should pretend to be a doctor - at least it's gender-neutral.

It has been accepted by the UK government and various local councils in the UK, along with various major shopping chains and banks and so on. (Click here for PDF of examples.)

In the 2001 UK census approximately 14,000 people intentionally ticked both male and female as their answer to the sex question. A further ~185,000 people failed to tick either box. That's a lot of people who could be signing petitions.

Slowly but surely, people are adding Mx to online forms and so are accepting nonbinary people as customers, supporters and contributors. Each addition makes it more likely that another site will add Mx to their forms.

Care2 petitionsite, we call on you to add Mx to your forms, make the title field type-your-own, or make the field not required for signing a petition.

Edit: I emailed the petition site we're on right now asking them to add Mx to the list of title options and they said, "because we have a limited number of slots on our site, we default to the most popular prefixes required." I've never heard this before! Websites are endlessly maleable. Naturally, I feel pretty fobbed off. [That's a Britishism, I think, for "I feel discarded".] Let them know in the comments that this excuse is unacceptable!

Dear Care2 petitionsite,

Please add Mx to your petition signature forms, provide a fill-in-the-blank for titles, or make the title not required.
