Since 1970 the black rhino population has gone down by 90% and are mainly killed for their horns which were beleived to have magical properties. By sighning you will help the AWF (African Wildlife Foundation) recruit more wildlife scouts who help monitor the rhinos and aprehend poachers. The population of black rhinos is now under 3000 and are in danger of becoming extinct, also you will help give the rhinos a sanctuary, the AWF also constructed and fund the Nguila Rhino Sanctuary in Tsavo East National Park in Kenya. Though it is fencing of the rhinos it is necessary to help keep closer watch on them and protect them from poachers. Hopefully black rhinos will become at a stable enough population that they can be free to roam Africa with withought fear of poachers, it will take time but this petition will hopefully make us one step closer to saving these unique and endangered creature.
