For a long time now I have been against breed specific legislation. It has been proven that it simply does not work. The reason for this? Dogs are NOT the problem. Humans are the problem!
The public and government need to understand that there is NO such thing as breed specific traits or behaviours. Despite the visual variations, all breeds of dog are the same mentally and emotionally. If they are treated and managed correctly throughout their lives they will be wonderful, affectionate, loving pets.
Any dog of any breed can become aggressive if in the wrong hands. It's not the breed, it's the person behind that individual dog. When you see an out of control or aggressive dog, don't blame the dog, blame the owner!
I am a BSL abolitionist and I strongly believe that all dogs, regardless of breed, have the right to live. All dogs are individuals and should be treated as such!
Dogs are the most incredible species on the planet. They truly are a gift to humans. Please sign this petition to help win the battle against breed specific legislation. Thank you <3

Wow, we're almost at the 600 mark. When I created this petition I wasn't even sure if I would get one signature, let alone 599. This truly is incredible. It has shown me that if each person stands up for what they believe in, we can win the fight against what we abhor. Great job and please keep the signatures coming <3
