Are you pained by Speed Humps?

I am a carer for my wife who has long term osteoarthritis in her back. The constant lower back pain is the bane of her life. Life is so dismal for my wife when I take her out in the car. The speed humps in City where we live are of different sizes and shapes which just make her pain worse.. She grits her teeth when going over speed humps which often results wishing she had not gone out as it takes so long for the intensity of the pain to settle down. I am sure that there are others in the UK who suffer as my wife does. Speed humps are not designed for people with disabilities and who are in pain but they can be. There is one set of speed humps in Plymouth where the angles of the humps allow the driver to go over relatively smoothly but still acting as a deterrent for speed. Its like this because its one of two routes to the main hospital. If it can be done there it can be done all over the City and other towns, villages and Cities all over the UK. In summary the is not any Universal design for speed humps and the vast majority are not disability friendly. So its starts here a campaign for universal design for speed humps that are disability friendly. Please sign the petition and share with friends and family.Lets get the Government to at least discuss it in the House of Commons.
