TRIBUTE TO WOMANHOOD

A Woman

Female

Latent “Cradle of Life”

With all that nature imposes in that

How else could she be the “Cradle of life” ?

Tabernacle of all that is exceptionally good

The female form a perpetual sacrifice

Of her Body and Mind

Companion, friend, and confidant

If your are lucky your lover too

Your partner in all you ever do

Perhaps your wife

And your “mother”

Mother to the offspring of you

Who bears them and cradles them

Nurtures them and enables them

From birth and throughout their life

Stands by them and supports them

In trials, triumphs. tribulation and strife.

How could mankind

And the word better defined

Yes its true of some woman-kind too !

Ever make use of the words to describe the woman

And everything of which she’s a part

Every part of her sacred body too

In any way the impression to convey

That’s she less than the sacred

The wondrous, heaven-sent gift for you.

All that she ever does

Comes straight from her heart

In an ever present affirmation of you.

In every time and in every way

She earns your love and respect

For she is love and care personified

In whatever role she has to play

In motherhood, parenthood, companion, and wife

She’s selfless and non-stop commitment

With her hands and her head

And determination persistent

She manages the running of the home in your life.

She runs the laundry and with it the never ending ask

Of Ma where is this ? and Ma where is that ?

And matching the odd socks the infuriating task.

The making of beds, the clearing of trash

Yet as leader you will frequently see

Her providing the transport, and always on time

And getting the maintenance done

That needs to be.

As the “Chef” hardly has one tasty meal been enjoyed

Than there comes the infuriating question

“What are we having for dinner tonight Mum ?”

And though she's planned it long ago in her head

The inevitable contrary and impractical suggestion.

The dishes in the sink which accumulate fast

Seem to disappear without you even noticing

And the fridge, and the stove, the dishwasher, and laundry

Whenever they need to be are operating.

And at the end of the day its so nice to sink

Into a bath of hot piping water

But what were the efforts if you really think

Of that darling “home executive” some call Mater.

There are millions now in the new age that we live in

Who on top of all that frenetic activity

Have the guts and the determination above all to fit in

A life of extraordinary and professional productivity.

Which not only will often double the family income

And provide for you, the family, and some

A million things perhaps you’d not otherwise afford

To live your life ever so more happily

And for her that joy and happiness is her richest reward.

But in doing so she often realises her ultimate dream

To fulfill all her talents, ability and creativity

Which surely was the intention of the Creator Supreme

The cream on top of all her other divinity.

A Wealth of Wisdom from Experience

for all ages
