Act Now for Religious Freedom for Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia!

Jehovah's Witnesses are about to be banned in Russia for participating in Bible-education work and other peaceful religious activities. The goal of the petitiion is to prevent the Witnesses from being ban. As a religious scholar who has twice visited the Soviet Union in 1989, and who worked with officials while there, I am very concerned that religious freedom will suffer a major setback if the Witnesses are banned.

Dear President Putin: WE are requesting your intervention in efforts to ban Jehovah's Witnesses. It is our hope that the Russian authorities will stop the legal action being taken against the branch office and the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia so that they can continue to gather peacefully for Christian meetings without interference. We fully appreciate the laws of the Russian government that guarantee freedom of religion to all citizens
