The ever growing animal rights community on social networking site Facebook are in shock at your decision to allow blood sports, including hare coursin, digging out, and terrior work to be made LEGAL in 2013.
UN Millenium Development Goals for Education – high on the agenda.
Barbaric blood sports do not belong in an educated society.
The scene in the attached photos, has nothing to do with an educated society. This is nothing to do with pest control. This is about blood sports, the dominance and control of an animal, for a sick and twisted passtime.
Why bring so much unnecessary suffering of an animal, for someone's pleasure and fun? The international community speaks out.
UN Global Consiousness Day, declared animals are "sentient beings".
NO LEGAL BLOOD SPORTS
Several regions, in South America and now Catalonia in Spain historic bann on Bull fighting. South Carolina on the verge of banning Bear Baiting and have already crossed the words off the documents. UK has banned blood sports. Dog Fighting is now a penal crime across America, with up to 20 years in prison in some states.
Please do not keep blood sports in the world, in 2013, The NEW MILLENIUM. So many of us are trying to eradicate this. You should be ashamed of yourselves Ireland!
By keeping making this legal you are eradicating all of the good work above and encouraging animal abuse, and under cover dog fighting, which is rife.
Please do not make blood sports, a national sport of Irealand
We are in 2013 – the new Millenium! More and more countries are improving animal welfare and ending cruel sports and traditions. This is erasing good news and successes. Taking us a step back.
