Imagine you grind and grind for days/weeks to obtain an egg holding a shiny Dratini. You loved shiny Dratini, and loved shiny Dragonair even more. Went so far as to EV train it and breed for a great nature, too. You grind him up to level 55....and this fat green piece of shit shows up and ruins everything.
