Police in Houson Texas arrested 2 people on Thursday, August 16- (Ashley Nicole Richards and Brent Wayne Justice)- for making least 27 videos of animals being tortured and killed.
The videos are called "crush" videos, and are made to satisfy a viewer's sexual fetish. "Crush" videos usually show attractive young women torturing and crushing baby animals with high heels, screwdrivers, knives, pliers and meat cleavers.
Even though there were 27 videos, because of Texas state law, the District Attorney can only charge the couple with two counts of animal cruelty, because the state does not allow "stacking". Under Texas law, the crime would be a State Jail Felony, there is only a maximum sentence of two years and a $2,000 fine.
If the case is tried in Federal Court, it could bring a seven year sentence and $10,000 fine. We ask U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas Court to investigate and file federal charges, as oppose to state charges.
