US Medical Graduates Deserve Residency Positions

US medical graduates graduate with hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt, spend a minimum of 8-10 years in school after graduating from high school, but are currently facing soaring unemployment rates.  According to Forbes magazine, 25% of US medical graduates did not match into residency in 2014.  This prevents future doctors from being trained and will only contribute further to the dire shortage of physicians (a shortage of more than 90,000 physicians)  that is predicted for 2020. People will be discouraged from entering the medical field if there is no job security, which will in turn, affect the entire's nation's access to medical care.  Urgent action is needed to halt this detrimental road to fewer physicians as well deteriorating medical care.  Please sign this petition so that we can bring attention to this serious problem and bring about to change so that all US medical graduates will have a residency spot.
