Hold the State of Connecticut Legislators Responsible for Rail Service Cuts

We are the people who will be affected by a reduction in rail service and therefore reject the proposal to reduce service. The State of Connecticut Legislators must fund CDOT to prevent the serious economic and environmental consequences.
It is unacceptable the government of this state would consider reducing rail service for its residents. Such a resolution would result in both economic and environmental suicide.
We placed our financial trust in to their hands to maintain a budget and be responsible stewards of our taxes. They have not done their duty, and as a result, their solution penalizes the citizens by cutting rail service. The legislative proposal reduces our transportation options and resolves it with a pollution solution by clogging our already choked highways.
The failing economic situation is not the fault of the residents of Connecticut. The Legislative proposed arrangement will only lead to stifling the economic growth of Connecticut even further, and harm the environment with more cars on the already heavily congested I95, I91, I84 and Merritt Parkway. We want people to work. We want people to spend their money in our state through leisure activities. Mass transportation is a solution both environmentally and economically, yet their suggestion does not support this. Their proposal cuts rail service and denies an alternative reasonable solution.
The State of Connecticut Legislators must fund CDOT to prevent this serious situation which impacts all of us. The State of Connecticut Legislators, must be held accountable and must seriously re-evaluate their rail reduction recommendation and rather than slicing into the rail service, grow it, and subsequently preserve both our economy and our environment by maximizing the benefits of mass transportation.
