Slavery should never have been a reality but it seems that some areas in our world including women and children.  Such is the case in Kenya, although slavery is totally illegal.  Slavery continues to be a problem as stated this full story about brutality and mistreatment of young kids at  https://donate.walkfree.org/ea-action/action?ea.client.id=1786&ea.campaign.id=43100&utm_source=Subscribers&utm_medium=email&utm_content=HAART-Fundraiser_PCAN-HK_Fundraising_Chaser_en_Inactive_NAT_Ex_19Nov15&utm_campaign=HAARTFundraiser

Information provided was in the eyes and voice of a child stating that “the man would sexually molest me, in episodes that went on for months, the man laughed at me saying no one would believe me. He also said it was the only way that girls like me - intelligent and proud - could be disciplined. I was only 13 years old. I believed what he told me." At 13 years of age, this is just one instance and attestment of a child out of so many that fall victim to such crimes.

Although slavery is illegal, it continues and our efforts in this petition is to encourage the President of the country to develop more stringent specialized resources that would hold criminals of slavery more severely held accountable while also implementing programs that would help survivors of slavery to lead better, happier, healthier lives.  Children should not live in fear and abuse.  You can help us in our efforts by signing and sharing this petition.  We need to be a voice for these youngsters so that they can rebuild their lives.

President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta – Although slavery is illegal, it still occurs on a regular basis, subjecting many young kids to such brutality and abuse.  We strongly urge you to develop more stringent specialized resources that would hold criminals of slavery more severely held accountable while also implementing programs that would help survivors of slavery to lead better, happier, healthier lives.
