Demand the Bi-State NJ/NY Waterfront Commission be abolished.

The Waterfront commission was created in 1954 to stop problems created by organized crime. Since then we now have 17 different law enforcement organizations in and around the port at all times. 17 law enforcement agencies should be more than enough to cover the waterfront. More specifically the law enforcement department called The Waterfront commission is now controlling our hiring for our employees, and in fact has stopped our ability to hire all together. Can you imagine a local police department stopping you from hiring anyone you want to hire. They want to control who we hire and our entire hiring pool. Since they are not happy with our current system they have instigated  a complete halt to our hiring and as a result we are understaffed at a time when good Americans need good paying jobs more than ever. We are asking people to sign this petition so we could hire as many men as we need to work hard at the best Blue Collar jobs in this country. We are asking also to abolish this unneeded Commission and allow all the other 17 different law enforcement agencies to oversee the operation of the waterfront. Thank you and we are directing this directly to Chuck Schumer to ask him to help us in a polishing the by state Waterfront Commission.

Chuck Schumer please take into consideration the abolishing of the Bi-State Waterfront commission. We need to hire many blue-collar workers to be prepared when the Bayonne Bridge is finally raised; to allow the super capacity container ships to be service at Port Elizabeth.

The opening of the Bayonne Bridge will create the need for thousands of new longshoreman. Since by state Waterfront commission has a freeze on are hiring we will not be competitive in the world market. Which means a loss massive tax revenues to the state of both New York and New Jersey. Please consider this and feel free to contact us for any conversations that you need to answer any questions.
